Semtech Releases New High-Performance Integrated Chipset for 10G Optical Modules
New ICs expand Semtech’s 10G product portfolio, deliver leading-edge performance for enterprise and wireless infrastructure applications

LOS ANGELES – Optical Fiber Conference and Exhibition (OFC) – March 21, 2017 – Semtech Corporation (Nasdaq: SMTC), a leading supplier of analog and mixed-signal semiconductors, today announced the release of a new high-performance transceiver and transimpedance amplifier (TIA) for next-generation 10G optical modules. Semtech will privately demonstrate the new chipset in its OFC booth (#2575) at the Los Angeles Convention Center March 21-23.

The chipset is comprised of GN1159, a DML driver plus receiver-side limiting amplifier and GN1069 TIA. GN1159 offers highly flexible integrated digital diagnostic features, while GN1069 sets a new industry benchmark for receiver sensitivity and allows a flexible choice of photo diode and optical alignment tolerances.
